I'm back from Saint Lucia and I created my first drone video!

This first post today features some beautiful aerial pictures from the Sandals Saint Lucia resort where Mikey was celebrating his 10 year marriage anniversary, and learning to fly drones for the first time. Talk about the good life. 😆

"It's A LOT of responsibility to fly," Mikey reckons in a previous post, before admitting "it's tons of fun!"

"Flying a drone is simply exhilarating! It's like having a video and photo camera in the sky - which makes it a different ball game in terms of how to compose shots from the sky." — @mikeycolon

That and a lot more nuggets from a first-time flier. You couldn't ask for more. Be sure to enjoy this captivating sights, and stay up-to-date with the author's blog as he has some cool contents lined up from a lengthy vacation in an exotic place. A little bird told me.

NIKE THE HISTORY AND COMMUNICATION EVOLUTION OF A 35 $ LOGO

The quirky VFX and the entertaining personality of the author/presenter makes this little history of the mega sport brand, Nike, a very interesting post.

It started out making some rather simple historical inquisitions about Nike's brand, particularly its logo. Then the rest of the video works skillfully to imprint its message on your mind, thanks to Rodolfo Crisafulli's animated communication techniques.

"When it comes to video communication most people struggle trying to spread their message with clarity," Rod wrote.

"I create contents about video, brand and communication strategies that helps them optimize their message. So they can grow their personal or company brand and business."

Take his words for it. Give this one a shot, I swear you will enjoy it.

Learn about Nike in the most interesting way.

Motions (Original Song)

This next one is Matt's very tasking endeavor/challenge: to release a new song every Friday each week for the next year. Yeah, that sounds pretty ambitious, and no better person to take on this one than Matt Letch.

Matt shares his music on his Youtube channel and on Steem, and has blogged consistently on these mediums for much of the last year at least.

"Motions" is an original song that kick starts this challenge. Written, sung, mixed and mastered by Matt himself, this pop/electronic record stands out for the artiste's impeccable vocals that is cushioned by the acoustic sounds on a very soothing tempo.

"The lyrics to the chorus are about humanities [sic] search for meaning in life, while seemingly "going through the motions" despite the feeling of uncertainty. — Matt

Why not just listen? 😉

How a brush with death inspired a new learning experience

Why should you volunteer? Get inspired by @natubat's gripping story about her rescue, and how the experience led her to embarking on her very own rescue missions as a volunteer.

"At a subconscious level, the idea of being the rescuer instead of the victim had a lot of appeal." — @natubat

"I would highly recommend volunteering to anyone who has a bit of time on their hands. It's a great way to learn, meet new people and get new experiences," rounded @natubat.

This post is well written, with the author's real life experiences, and spiced with useful information about the Scottish lake of Loch Lomond.

The author, @natubat describes herself as "a hillwalking/mountaineering/climbing fanatic," and she shares her experiences through her Steemit and "Rambling and Scrambling" blogs.

Follow Solominer as he takes us through his building of this DIY solar-powered water recycler.

"Living in the South we have alot of humidity, I have found a way to collect and recycle this water using 55 gallon barrels and a transfer pump. In the middle of the summer I will have a full barrel every few days, which I can water my plants. Or even in an emergency use it as grey water." — @solominer

The video details the choice of components, and reflects on previous trials of the same unit (their downsides), and how/why the creator arrived at this version 3.0 of this installation. Sounds foolproof already.

I may not make any of this, but I sure had fun watching how this all came together. YOU can get a lot more value from this.
