yikes

this should have brought you great comfort, as a man, as it is a satire of women in relationships. I for one, love it.

Way back when I lived in Florida in like 2008, I was hanging out with a platonic female friend, who was a year or two older and wiser than me at the time.

Gets in car with me, she starts driving and ranting, and I propose an obvious solution. she pulled OVER AND STOPPED. Looked at me and said, Cork, this is a teaching moment now, NEVER try to give a woman the answer, even when you are correct, she just wants you to listen.

I refrained from teaching moment her right back with a solution which would have been stop being illogical AF and you won't be mad and on the side of the road right now either,

But so it goes.

hence, "yikes".

I refrained from teaching moment her right back with a solution which would have been stop being illogical AF and you won't be mad and on the side of the road right now either,

Dammit. I was hoping the ending would be "After that, I listened super hard, and I gave her a teaching moment in the back seat of her car."

Nah later that same summer I did one better, I bought her house so she could go teach English in like Poland or somewhere and then sold it back to her 3 years later when she came back and I didn't want to live there anymore.

who was a year or two older and wiser than me at the time.

Is she no longer a year or two older? Or is she no longer wiser? Or is it simply just no longer the time?

Good points. No idea where she is now. She was never very internetty, just someone that ran in a big circle of friends I had in the Miami area at the time.
