You need to register first, not with your Steemit usr/pwd, but with some new one.
Yes; this I did... Cannot login after mail verification with my new password. No error msg as well. Wanted to contact https://steemit.com/@rebelskum64, but he does NOT exist
Sorry about that; His username is without the 64, copy/paste error, 64 is his reputation. I updated my post to reflect the correct username as well.
I understood the issue! Browser remembered my mail id. It should be using my user name instead
