The Daily Sneak 3 March 2019 - with guest curator @paradigmprospect!

in #curation6 years ago

Welcome to The Daily Sneak!!!

We reward quality content, AND content curators! Come for the crypto, stay for the community!

You can win up to 10 SBI per accepted submission for guest curating The Daily Sneak. Submission requirements are published at the bottom of each edition of The Daily Sneak.

This ongoing curation contest is no resteem, no upvote, no follow required.

Today's guest curator is @paradigmprospect.

Life can often be thoroughly enriched through experiments. Trial and error. When old ways don't work, try something else. Go find that pathway to your grand vision and if you feel you lack the strength at times, come check out other people who are taking bold steps and who share with humanity what they have learnt along their journeys.

In the spirit of broadening our horizons it is @paradigmprospect's pleasure to showcase the work of these 5 Steemians today to get you inspired, amped up and catapulted into a "can-do" mindset for the challenges ahead...

The Sneaked Selections

I am learning to draw. 30 day challenge. Day 4. +tutorial (how to draw cube)

The first steps as an artists can be tough. Where to begin? What do I need to know? How can I ever get good?

Well, as with most things in life there probably are no shortcuts. But: persistency and devotion can pay off hugely if you only stick to the process.

Take @gulia.peito's recent project for example, in where we get to see the process start off in the quest for becoming an artist, following a step by step 30 day challenge. Mightily inspiring to allow us tackle our dreams we have long put off and to work on it day by day in tiny increments. Includes a how-to section as well - a great and promising series for all aspiring artists out there who are wondering where to start...

I Bought A Mountain: Here's The 1st Day

More and more people are realizing that our current way of life may not be in the best interest of our health and that of the Earth. We long for a more natural lifestyle, more organic foods in our kitchen and a path to living self-sustainably in harmony with nature overall.

And some go one step further and take the first big leap - like buying a patch of land to get started with the grand vision. Take @sylentbeast for example who has recently purchased a mountain in Puerto Rico where he plans on building a self-reliant life for himself.

I know, you don't hear that everyday, buying a "mountain"...

Includes a bit of video footage of his new neighborhood as well as his humble beginnings with a tiny tent settling in to that bare patch of land that is to become an oasis of abundance one day. If you want to keep up with his adventures in self-sustainability this would be a great time to follow the man and see where his vision goes from here. The place looks simply amazing!

Vending Anarchapulco 2019 - Day 2 - Challenged

As every year, there is a lot of talk about the Anarchapulco event in Mexico, and once again it's awesome to see how likeminded people come together in order to spread ideas of self-governance and to build tribal bonds.

And some of the participants take it further and offer some amazing shirts and apparel to the visitors of the conference, vending transformative designs in warm colors to all those interested to help get the message out and take the next step towards living the change through successful entrepreneurialship, despite any challenges and resistances that may arise...

Change never comes easy but it's certainly worth pursuing the grand vision as @elamental has shared in this rich post.

Underwater Photo Color Correction

If you have ever taken underwater photographs with a setup that isn't of godly quality you may be familiar with the color tint in your pictures.

Sure there are lots of costly alternatives but isn't there a simpler way to come out with better pictures if you don't happen to own a highly professional set of gear?

If you are getting ready for your next underwater vacation and are wondering how to best capture some shots of a lobster, how to prepare (for your journey, not the lobster, lol) and what you can do in post-production, this post by @abitcoinskeptic is definitely for you.

Personal Results after a few times of Prolonged Fasting & Bullet Proof Coffee

This engaing post is somewhat of an energetic excursion into the crazy ventures people can undertake when it comes to diet and experimenting with one's own dietary schedules, inner sensations and body-centered results as to how we feel when we do XYZ.

Is it worth trying out different fasting rhythms? What else can I try in order to experiment with choices that may not be what we generally hear about as "healthy diets"? And what do I do if I just want to drink some coffee instead?

It's kinda hard to put my finger on why I dug this post so much - I think it has to do with the entertaining experiment-character of a man dedicated to analyzing and questioning all patterns most people take for granted, delivered in this chaotic and vivid way that makes you go: Right, let's try something new and see how we feeeeeeeeeeel!!!!

If you're curious come check out @movingman's post to see what I'm talking about ;)

Submission Requirements

On to the submission requirements for The Daily Sneak:

  1. You can choose from 2 to 5 articles for your entry. Submissions with only one selected article will be ignored.
  2. All articles chosen for curation need to have been published within the last 5 days before your entry. It may take time for me to publish your curation, and curated articles need to be within the reward window when your submission is published.
  3. You cannot submit your own post for curation. Selections from nsfw will not be accepted. We also check for plagiarism and only highlight original content.
  4. Selected posts should have less than $50 in total rewards and have not previously been curated by The Daily Sneak.
  5. We try to spread the love around, so while selections from authors that have been highlighted before are welcome, they might not be included if the author's last inclusion was recent. Similarly, if you include two articles from the same author in one submission, we will typically highlight only one of the two.
  6. Be sure to include your personal bio for me to introduce you to readers, and make sure that each selection has commentary. This can be just a few sentences about why you think the selection is worth our attention, or what is great about it - something that will make people want to click through the headline and check out the actual article. English is preferred, but other languages will be considered as long as English translation is included.
  7. Please use this web form to submit your entry. https://goo.gl/forms/VH2MGIMEgqZmd9ef1
  8. Including image links to the source article is not required (and we prefer to leave some mystery if photography is highlighted and the article has only one photo.) However, we like to include images in The Daily Sneak, and not including any image links may decrease the likelihood of your submissions being published.

If you include more than 2 articles in your submission and not all are approved for publication, your submission may still be published into an edition of The Daily Sneak, as long as at least 2 articles are approved. This could happen for several different reasons. If you are unsure why an article was cut, please review the submission guidelines again. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask politely why it was cut.

Submission Reward

A brief biography of each guest curator will be included in the edition that uses their submission. In addition, each guest curator will receive 2 SBI for each article from their submission that is highlighted in The Daily Sneak. That's up to 10 SBI for each accepted submission!

With Steem Basic Income now upvoting comments for members that have not posted within the last 7 days, and SBI having proven to be a great value proposition, we chose to rewards curators with SBI. This will help The Daily Sneak continue in its mission to discover and reward quality content creators and curators.
