This month I'm working on set shooting two videos for a company and their new products. I can't show much of the products since they haven't been released yet but I wanted to share just a few photos I took on set. My friend brought me on for this project and he's the cameraman and he'll also be editing the videos. My job on set was to monitor the video feed and make sure the shots looked good and we had proper focus and to keep the production on time and that we got all the shots that we needed to get. I'll also be doing the post production color grading for the job which will be fun too.
For these videos, we filmed with the Canon 5dmark 4 and you can see in the photo above it's on a gimbal with a big zoom lens and a wireless transmitter. The zoom lens gives us a lot of flexibility in terms of getting the shots we need and the wireless transmitter sends the video signal to a tablet I have in my hands to monitor what the camera sees.
Being on set is a lot of work but it's so much fun and I love working with others to create content and see a project come to life from concept all the way to a final video. If you have any questions about how to make a commercial or video or any questions in general about videos or cameras feel free to comment below and ask.
