We measure a bunch of different stuff. One of the main metrics is # of posts commented on - so for that particular metric, if you left 100 comments all on one post, it would just count as 1 post commented on. But leaving multiple comments (particularly if they are in reply to the Curie upvoted-author) on a single post would get captured in a couple of the other metrics we measure.

but in case you comment 1 time and that comment called the attention of the winner and he responds and then you replicate. ... I understand leaving 100 comments on an entry, but it does not seem a little mechanical to leave 1 comment only and not interact?

you did not understand my reply, yes you would definitely receive more points if someone replies to you, and even more points if you reply back, and even more if they reply back again, etc.

Oh, now I get it. Thanks again for clearing up my doubts.
