I like this post. It talks about the importance of putting out good content and working inside of a community to help shape a post which can be a good contribution to the platform.
So far my only curation has been from M.S.P. their upvote is significantly less than the ones @currie passes out. Still the encouragement of that curation has been important. People like me have been posting on steemit for months with little reward. Only one "big" account has been upvoting my posts, still it makes a huge difference.
Steemit has a huge turn over, in large part because people post and get nothing, or only a few hundredths of a cent for their effort, it takes time to learn how to use the markdown system. And honestly if you don't know about Discord it can seem like this is a platform with a bunch of bots and not much in the way of genuine community.
I haven't made a Curie application, I joined the Discord channel, there are just too many other directions which I am being pulled in to invest my self as fully into that channel as I would like to. I am really only just beginning to fully develop my Discord community engagement.
Thanks for making this important post with history about the group. I hope to make a more meaningful contribution to curie soon!
Well, i recommend you try joining the curie discord channel and place your posts in the "self promotion room"... Id say its very hard for the curators to miss it there.
Creating quality takes a lot of effort, and then creating a audience to consume it takes even more, but with work you will get there.
