The seas and the oceans make up a complex three-dimensional world that covers 71% of the planet's surface. This world is home to thousands of more or less known marine animals. Many of them are still undiscovered. The largest recorded depth is in the Pacific Ocean, 10,882 meters. Deep water is considered a special area because there is very high water pressure and there is no light. And yet there is life.
1. The lightest swimmer is the sea horse. It can reach a maximum speed of only 0.16 km / hour.
2. The length of an elephant is approximately equal to the length of the tongue of a blue whale. Also, the tongue of a whale is heavier than an adult elephant.
3. The largest crab in the world can reach a weight of 15 kg, and the smallest crab has the size of a pea.
4. The largest octopus ever discovered has weighed 4 tons. It was hunted in 1878 in the northern Atlantic.
5. The turtles are found on every continent, except Antarctica.
