RE: The Old Dog Explores: Can a Better More Beautiful Bicycle Rack Be Built?

in #cycling8 years ago

I like number 1 and number 5. I like cycling and I think it's very practical too (but I would like to move more with my bike...). Honestly a little problem we do have in Lugano city is that the city it's not very well organized for bike riding. They did some good stuff in the last years but there would be a lot more to do. Since I've been a bike messenger for almost a year I really thinks that there's not enough racks and in some streets it can be dangerous because of the street width and so. But I know that since the road plan was made many years ago it's not an easy problem to solve.
Anyway this is a pic from Amsterdam.

It's crazy how many people move with theyr bike up there, from kids to elders. Every street has it's bicycle lane next to it and it seems to be in the country of the bicycling! :D
Great post anyway!

You were a bike messenger? Wow so cool!

Good to see a bike messenger here 👦. I'd like to learn more about your bike activism and how you effectively convey your pro-biking message 🚴🏻 🚵🏻‍

🎹 🥁 🎷 🎺 🎸 🎻 I’m trying to use a lot of emojis here to Celebrate the World Emoji Day this week. Are you? 🎊 🎉 🎉 🎉⛄️

Not much honestly atm...! Are you a bike messenger?

Not actually but I used to advocate sustainable mobility in my town a couple of years back . I really dunno what a bike messenger is!

Great! Bike messenger or bike courrier, you bring things to people by bike (like express delivery services as Fedex or similar)

Thanks @airmatti! I was actually misinterpreting the word. Grateful to you for your enlightenment on it. Re-read your comment and it makes more sense to me now 😊

My brother did that as a job for a few years in Toronto.
