This is a very inspiring shot. However, it also looks very exhausting :) I also find cycling great. We make also long distances tours and so we slow down our stressful everyday life. Well done!
I was exhausting, that's true. But it's always worth it when you reach the top of a mountain by yourself and a 40 kilometers downhill road awaits for you ;) I agree, cycling slows down everything and brings inner peace.
This was taken in the "Col de larche", a pass in the border from France to Italy back in 2015. An hour after this picture a snow storm covered everything in snow and I had to find a refuge for the night.
It was a Fuji touring 2015 edition, a very good bike. Yes! Almost 55 kg in total. A lot of weight but I had anything that I needed to travel and camp anywhere.

You're right it's wonderful when you reach a destination or the top of a mountain. It is an inner peace that sets in and it is a fantastic feeling.
