Well, this is a sad day for SteemIt.
Let me start by saying, the main reason I use this site every single day is to check the Technical Analysis of several Cryptocurrencies, provided by a very kind gentleman who could be selling us this information, instead of doing it for free. (I was losing 0.16 BTC before following these reports just a couple of weeks ago, now I'm almost breaking even.)
Suddenly, a bunch of bullies decided that his work is not good enough for their criteria... and decided to downvote his posts.
Next, another follower of the above unmentioned gentleman was also flagged... for no reason whatsoever. By the same gang of kindergarten bullies.
Today... SteemIt seems like StinkIt.

Did you notice that most of the downvoters are newbie steemians with tiny accounts or self-righteous whales who think they know better how to value content. It's totally like all those socialist revolutions.
Tiny jealous moochers (some even plagiarists and spammers, I'm not even kidding) and a bunch of controlling pricks. steemit is going the way of Bitcoin. I'm sure you are aware of the big drama going on about @haejin.
There are many accusations being made that he is using bots to upvote his blogs and that thereby he is abusing the system. Most of these accusations are being made recently by @berniesanders and his fellowship (see the comment section of his posts that I've linked)
I can only speak for myself but the only reason that I've came across the website steem is due to the youtube videos made by @haejing where he posted his TA videos. After a short while I became a huge fan of @haejin as it has proven to me that his analysis works. I wanted to see more of his content and therefor went to steemit. Since I wanted to support him for the content he provides I finally went to register and since them I show my gratitude by actively upvoting him since it is the least I can do for him.
I am absolutely sure that there are many more users (I'm recommending @haejin and his blog on steemit to others whenever I can) which are in the same situation and solely registered on steemit for to support him.
It makes me very sad to see these accusations being made and so much hate being spread against him and I sincerly wish that you would do your best to support and protect him. I'm sure you are aware that due to his premium content on youtube he advertised steemit in a fantastic way to a wider audience and you should appreciate his efforts.

I dont really care much about his content, and he does have followers, but abuse the system is a really bad thing to do...

Where they post

Its easy to see a pattern

now do this for 6 months: 40306 = 7200 SBD
Now, use that 7200 to buy around 36k STEEM + the rewards you get from your true followers + some money you have to put on the game, what you get?
Transfer it all to a second account you created around the same time (@ranchorelaxo) Boom! you have a second account that have 1,304,013.214 SP, that can give you 200 SBD per vote, and you make 200*10 posts =2k in rewards EVERY DAY. thats 20k dollars a day (and fuck the community).
You get your money back in a few days, and take the rewards from the people who play fair (like you and me)
If things like this goes by, and become normal what you think will happen to steemit?
The people that work hard to provide good content wil go elsewhere, and the small and blind guys will stay hostage to these unfair accounts.
Also, no normal good content account gets 400 views/votes per page. That gives visibility and more and more real blind people follow and upvote someone who is not playing fair.
Btw, if he is actually that good at trading why would he need to use bots to upvote his post? Wouldnt his content talk about itself?
Just think a bit beyond what you see at first glance...
