Dad Tip of the Day - When it comes to playing with your kids, be a little dangerous.
As a dad, I feel we need to push the envelope and do things with our kids that make others nervous. Safety is important though, so know your own limits before you go too far and end up hurting yourself or kids.
A little danger is important as it can help kids overcome fears, gain confidence and have some extra fun. Introducing danger in a responsible manner can help kids understand safety and responsibility as well. Plus, it can make you a pretty cool dad.
Personally, I have enjoyed climbing some trees with little Jacob, going kayak fishing, and wakeboarding, among other slightly dangerous activities for a 2 year old.
Here is Jacob practicing his tree climbing:
Here is a video of Jacob and I wakeboarding together:

You get the idea.... Be a little dangerous!

Thank you for posting @brian.rrr.
So true......
As I looked through the photographs....I could not help but think of our heavenly Father in whom we should put as much trust as your son is placing in you.
Lovely photographs and a good opportunity for learning all kinds of things.....
Wishing you and your family all the best. Cheers.
Amen my friend - putting our trust in Him makes all the difference!
You truly are a great dad, despite the moments I watch between the fingers covering my eyes 🙈
Hello, Mr.Brian.
I see that you're being a great dad which reminds me of my dad.
I think you're going to be a great dad to your son.
Thank you for sharing your personal life with us.
Agreed! I think it lets them know that real life is fun. Too many kids think that video games are life, but when they get a little taste of real adventure, they love it!
This little man is already quite tough for his age! Really good you do things like this, it surely helped me when I was a kid.
You are the best kind of dad! Those are the kind of things that I love looking back on - doing the exciting and the 'work' things with dad. I learned to use power tools under his supervision and we played with matches together. My dad would bring home those sparklers on Canada Day and we'd all get a couple of our own to run around the yard with. There's nothing that replaces that kind of background and the realization that you can jump in and succeed with the scary stuff! Your kid is going to have that background and those memories of you doing the best kinds of things with him for the rest of his life! It's an amazing gift!
I greatly admire the people who take their time to share with their family! I wish you the best brother.
Thats heartwarming :)
I really like your posts and I enjoy very much with all your posts.👍
It is always much more fun and interesting to spend time with dad, than mom! Dads are always so active!!
That's cool you involved him in what you're doing. He's more likely to do those same activities when he gets older. Might as well already know how to do them safely. Have fun!
Judging from the smile on his face, he's loving the adventures you take him on. That's a great quality to instill in children.
You are right in what they say so they are feeling safe, beautiful your baby @brian.rrr
A little bit dangerous is a great adventure! You have a very cool son out there my friend and your son is very lucky to have a very cool Dad :)
Just going one step ahead and facing the danger while keeping your family and your self safe will help you to find out the other sides of your personality.
I liked the way you play with your child and keep your self accessible for him.
Very nice
Nice one sir @brian.rr, am not a dad jet but when i become one i will be sure to try it. May be mine i will have to take him to the woods at night.
If that is very true, the children must be very careful, not lose sight of them in a walk, it is not to take away their freedom, but to be careful of them to avoid danger, of course without taking away the fun, it is important for us as parents to share at all times with the children! and congratulations because you make it possible, Jacob and Kendra when they are adults you will be grateful for that moment! God bless you always
Wow!))) Excellent family))) You have a great and very best kid!)) You're right. You can not always and everywhere strongly protect the baby from everything. So the child will not be able to adapt to various situations in life. You have the correct line of behavior of parents))) Happiness to you and health))
Enjoy @brian.rrr , great idea :)
