The digital revolution is here, and no one wants to be left behind. But what happens when opportunity knocks, and you're not quite ready?
My friend and I after classes.
Last year I had a discussion with one of my clients on how one can make Extra income online. She wasn't really into the online space.
She only knows how to receive calls, send messages with her phone.
I was once like her some years back and now I know better and because I know better I feel it's my duty to let her know my thought on it. Besides she was so interested in learning and willing to do anything to learn.
I showed her some basic ways to explore online earning, like researching potential opportunities within Telegram communities."
After some months we both enrolled online for a program that was set to train youth on some advance courses about the digital space .
During class
This programme was brought by the state government and sponsored by world bank.
Empowering 510 Abia Youth with cutting-edge Advanced Digital Skills to build a sustainable future through technology.
Some of the courses that was offered for this program are:
1:Fullstack Development (JavaScript)
2: Fullstack Development (Python)
3: Data Engineering
4: Digital Arts & Animation
5:Mobile App Development
6: AI & Prompt Engineering
7: Product Management & UI/UX Design.
This programme comes with a lot of insensitive for those who where enrolled by their local government chairman, this insensitive includes accommodation for those coming from a far distance because this programme is a 15week program, free laptop for all the participants, free meals (breakfast and lunch)
While at the shop this morning my client worked in to inform me that the program as kicked started since last week and her phone is bad so she couldn't reach me. She then requested I come with her.
But my hair was in a messy, I hadn't even had a chance to grab breakfast, and my mind was still racing from the morning school run. When she arrived, so excited, I felt a wave of regret. I told her I just couldn't make it. But then, something shifted. I realized this was an opportunity I couldn't afford to miss. I asked her to wait for me, and she even paid my transport to the venue. When we arrived, the buzz of the classroom was already in full swing. Students were grabbing breakfast, and the air was thick with anticipation. Then, I heard about the laptops. My heart leaped. This was a game-changer!
But this provision are reserved for only those who were enrolled in the program by their local government chairman or mayor.
I enrolled myself using the link I don't have a sponsor.
Now I am stuck in between looking for a sponsor to help fill in my name in any of the slot or just learn and work hard to buy a laptop for myself.
Which option would you suggest I explore?
Note I have limited time.
