NFL Week 2 Fantasy Review: Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Eagles offense is hard to read with how well Carson Wentz is distributing the football compared to last year. For fantasy purposes if you're going to take anyone from that team it must be Wentz' favorite target, Zach Ertz. Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith were both non-fantasy factors in Week 1 but both saw an uptick in production in Week 2, with the former looking to be the most viable pickup for future matchups. Smith is the deep threat for this team and has numerous balls thrown his way deep in both weeks. If the Eagles get a matchup with a weak secondary, Smith could be a sleeper. Slot receiver Nelson Agholor was the only fantasy worthy WR last week, but saw only 1 catch this week, which was fortunately a TD near the end of the game. The jury is still out for him, but Head Coach Doug Pederson wants this team to throw the ball.
The RB position is a bit trickier with starter LeGarrette Blount not being a factor in the 2nd game while Darren Sproles took much of the workload. I would recommend fading all of their RB's due to the unknown of who is going to get the most touches.

QB - Carson Wentz - 25/46, 333 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT, 4 rushes, 55 yds = 25.82 pts
WR - Alshon Jeffery - 7 catches, 92 yds, 1 TD= 17.7 pts
WR - Torrey Smith - 4 catches, 66 yds = 8.6 pts
WR - Nelson Agholor - 1 catch, 9 yds , 1 TD = 7.4 pts
TE - Zach Ertz - 5 catches, 97 yds = 12.2 pts

The Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium are tough, that's not new news but they definitely solidified it for their home opener this year. Alex Smith had another great game where Smith does what he does best: command and manage the field while not committing turnovers. The KC defense in the 4th quarter single-handedly changed the momentum into their favor by forcing a costly turnover and then taking a 14 pt lead. Kareem Hunt was shutdown for most of the game until he broke a 53 yd run proving that his Week 1 performance was no fluke. Travis Kelce was dominant in the receiving and blocking game and shows so much emotion for this team. The only player on their offense who had a disappointing game was Tyreek Hill, and that's said lightly just because were used to his highlight plays every week. I had Hill as a favorite of mine this week due to the injury to Eagles starting CB Ronald Darby. Also as two members of the Eagles secondary were injured during the game, I was only waiting even more anxiously for Hill to split the Eagle's defense open. Hunt, Kelce, Hill, and even Smith remain reliable fantasy options for the next weeks to come. Keep an eye on WR Chris Conley. He made some good plays and has the opportunities in this offense to make it in the end zone.

QB - Alex Smith - 21/28, 251 yds, 1TD, 4 rushes, 21 yds = 16.14 pts
RB - Kareem Hunt - 13 rushes, 81 yds, 2 TD, 3 catches, 28 yds = 24.4 pts
WR - Tyreek Hill - 4 catches, 43 yds, 1 rush, 6 yds = 6.9 pts
WR - Chris Conley - 4 catches, 55 yds = 7.5 pts
TE - Travis Kelce - 8 catches, 103 yds, 1 TD = 20.3 pts
