Good afternoon!

Here are the Yesterday's photos I was unable to upload since my computer had crashed due to an overheating problem.

We've now reached the halvening (pun intended) of my yearly photo project. I hope my post rewards will start reflecting that soon. 😉

Jättipalsami
A Bumblebee collecting nectar from a Himalayan balsam. (Impatiens glandulifera)

The policeman's helmet, Himalayan balsam or kiss-me-on-the-mountain is an invasive species, and should be uprooted every time it grows from the ground. Here, they've been left as is, and the smell is horrible. I get headaches from them.

It's a good thing they provide food for the pollinators though. Otherwise I could gladly do without them. And so would the nature. As they are invasive species, they tend to take space from other native plants, and in the process cause mayhem to the biodiversity.

Vadelma
Red raspberry (Rubus idaeus)

Raspberries are delicious!

That reminds me, I should probably do something with the leftover RaspberryPi units I have lying around. I heard you can take part in a Cardano ADA network with one.

Jänönsalaatti
Wall lettuce (Lactuca muralis)

Playing with light...

Metsävaahtera
Norway maple (Acer platanoides)

Saniainen
Some fern, either Cystopteris, or Dryopteris.

Is it already Fall?

Terttuselja
Red elderberry (Sambucus racemosa)

Famous quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

"Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

Herukka
(White or Red) Currant (Ribes rubrum)

Putkikasvi?
Mystery plant

I'm not going to try to guess what this one is. Anyone know what it is? We wondered if it belongs to the Apiaceae. From the colour it looks like it might have some sort of an disease.

MetsäkorteYoung wood horsetail (Equisetum sylvaticum)

We have a lot of these in our forests. We think it's quite a pretty plant.

Well, here we have it. Yesterday's photos neatly packed in one big post. 😁

I hope you like them all!

See ya, soon!

Like my post? 🍻 Buy me a beer! 🍻
