Heippa!
Photography-wise, today was an active day for me. Although I did use most of it trying to edit the photos. 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there. Eventually I ended up doing most of the editing after reading to the boys. And again the post is going to be ready only after midnight.
I managed to shoot some photos though, here are few of them.
Cowslip (Primula veris)
Red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)
Too fast! Slow down!
He was a quick fellow, I almost failed to capture him, and the camera was a bit slow too.
Then there was this fellow:
Is he smiling?
I guess it's just the cone that's so good.
Almost pink (but somewhat underlit) liverwort (Anemone hepatica)
A Liverwort and two thimbleweed (Anemone nemorosa)
It was my first time meeting the European pied flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca)
I hope we'll meet again! 😁
There's a nursery rhyme in Finnish that goes like this:
Kuu kiurusta kesään,
puolikuuta peipposesta,
västäräkistä vähäsen,
pääskysestä ei päivääkään!
Rough translation:
As the skylark arrives, it'll be one month 'til Summer, and half a month after chaffinch arrives, from pied wagtail just a few days, and after swallow there are none.
The first white wagtail (Motacilla alba) we saw this Spring.
Yep. That's all I have for you guys today, but wait... There's more...
The day before Yesterday I asked you guys what might be in the background of a photo of mine.
Here's the reveal!:
@Sheikh27 guessed it was a photo, although the subject wasn't quite the same, so I guess he'll get the 5 hive I promised to the closest guess. Congrats to @Sheikh27!
It was one of my first ever successful photos that I was happy for. It was taken about 7 years ago. Here's the photo itself:
I printed it with my old printer on an A4 paper and then I laminated the photo. It's a reminder for me, that even a lousy lens can deliver quite amazing photos.
What do we learn from this? No matter how poor your photographic equipment is, keep shooting and eventually you will start getting better and better photos! Keep a positive attitude about it, and you will prevail!
All the photos I shot today were taken with that same lens.
I hope you liked today's photos!
See you guys Tomorrow! 😎

Like the saying goes, "The best camera for the job is the one you have in hand." Sometimes and especially more recently, great results can be achieved with your phone!
Definitely, but somehow I would still go for my camera. 😅
Nice micro photography. Squarrels and sparrows are looking great. Congratulates @sheikh27 on winning.
Thank you very much.
Very nice squirrel with strange colours! We don’t have thus red hands squirrel! This one is very fast and strong!
That duck photo is very sharp and alive! Where is this duck now?! I wonder!
The squirrels still have some Winter coat on, they'll be shedding the rest of it soon, and they'll become reddish brown with some grey in their back and tail. The tummy is usually white.
Oh! Nice! You’ll have to show some pictures for us to see the difference! Here our squirrels have the same colours all year round!
I'll be sure to capture a photo of a squirrel when they've shed their winter fur! 😊
Okay! Thank you!
Loved the natural shots all around they were really special !
Thank you!
Nature is beautiful
Beautiful shot
The photo of squirrel is more difficult to captured as it most of the time restless, all the photos are very good and nature alwalys gives us a beautiful view with its surroundings.
One more thing that its going to be a lucky day as very close to guess the behind router's in your previous post.
Red squirrel captures awesome. It's difficult to captured squirrels because they didn't stay same place more time. They're run faster before captured them, I failed lot of times. Only succeed two or three times. The flowers images do cute and adorable.
Yay!
