Hello Daily Blog friends!I'm new to this community,and I'm excited to connect with all of you.I hope you're all doing well,and I'm looking forward to making some new friends here.Today,I want to share a story about my son's coronation as the"King of Hearts."It all started with a fun activity at his school during their Valentine's Day celebration.The goal was to create a school remembrance project for each grade level.The students in my son's classroom voted for their King and Queen,and they chose my son to represent their class!
The rules were simple:Money talks!Parents were encouraged to"canvass"their friends and family to contribute money,placed in a white envelope with the child's name on it.The student who raised the most money at the end of the canvassing period would be crowned King or Queen.Leading up to the final count,I tried my best to collect some money from my friends,but I only managed to gather 500 pesos.I was starting to lose hope that my son would become king.But as a proud parent,I wasn't ready to give up!I decided to withdraw money from my savings account and in the end,I had 30,000 pesos to contribute.The final count came,and my son had the highest amount–30,000 pesos!The other kids had raised around 20,000 pesos,and some even less.My son was the winner,and he became the King of Hearts!
While I did invest a significant amount,the 30,000 pesos was ultimately returned to me,minus a 10% deduction.The money was used to fund the school's remembrance project,and everyone who participated had their money returned,minus 10%.As a parent,I was so proud of my son becoming King!I know any parent would do anything for their child,and I'm no exception.The next challenge was finding him a King's costume.I decided to rent one,which cost 500 pesos.Seeing your child happy is worth every penny,right?
