Bear and Betty get along just fine. I started feeding them side by side. Bear respects her and does not try to eat her food. I also think she feels more secure having Bear between her and where her mother, Scary Mary eats. For those who don't know Mary is a terror to any cat that comes near her.
Betty has taken to stay in the basement most of the time. In the warm weather I have a window down there that I open for the cats to look out at ground level but in the colder weather they mainly stay up stairs where it is warmer. Betty has been the exception in preferring the cooler temperature.
That's interesting, I wonder what's on her mind. Pretty girl - I'm partial to black cats, I guess; I have 3.

I would be like Betty preferring the cooler rooms in the house.
It can get down near 55 degrees when it gets real col;d outside. Yesterday was the first day she spent some time on the porch. Temp. was in the 20's last night.
Wow, you are warmer than us, we are in the mid-teens and it is crisp out there.
