DANGEROUS PLANTS - HOW TO AVOID THEM

Dear Hive

Being in a situation of survival in the wild, there are a few basic rules that we must follow to protect ourselves from poisonous and dangerous plants.

The first rule is that if we do not fully recognize a plant, do not make contact with it, much less try to eat it. There are an awful lot of poisonous plants in nature.

Rule number two - if we break a leaf or stem of a plant and white liquid starts to tear from the place, then the chance that this plant is poisonous and dangerous for our health is huge.

Third rule, do not eat mushrooms in the forest, no matter how much you think you know them, some types of mushrooms kill very quickly and while you feel bad it may be too late.

Fourth rule. If you still need to use plants as a food source for one reason or another, you can use the following danger warnings, if a plant is bitter, it is most likely poisonous.

Try eating plant roots as well as herbs. Among them there are the least poisonous species.

A sure way to know that a plant is not poisonous is to see an animal or a bird eating it. They have built-in receptors with which they know poisonous plants and avoid them.

This is not true! I have personally seen a red fly agaric eaten by an animal, there are many more such examples, which I do not list now.

Fifth rule, don't eat mushrooms in the woods, no matter how much you think you know them, some types of mushrooms kill very quickly, and while you feel bad it may be too late.
