“Simplification” with usernames means loosing anonymity. Yielding to convenience at the expense of security does not look like a great way to keep your money. Still, there is a choice. It would be interesting to see their development.

Names don't have to be readily identifiable and a steem account only costs 25 steem currently. But there needs to be an easy way to make a throw-away steem account without leaving a trace of the owner. I am building what I guess will be the second steem-account-selling website very shortly, and I also intend to create a system for eliminating traceability in payments, at first both will be centralised on my system but later I want to make a protocol so that people can run a small app that lets them make some steem creating accounts for anonymous users and bouncing the money around in a way that makes it impossible to identify who is paying who (a friend of mine always points out that when you require a person to participate as a service provider it's easier to hide them in the cloud of other participants). It's a work in progress...
Take your time, make it good, don't make it quick :)
