My little one has a cold and cannot breathe through her nose.
So we put peppermint and eucalyptus oil in a humidifier and we're breathing it in a confined space.
It smells very minty in here.
She gets this worried look on her little face. We're trying everything we can think of to clear her nasal passages

What a good Daddy. Awful seeing them sick, but she'll get better.
When my boy was a baby I swore by a gentle saline nose spray (Little Noses was the brand I used) and one of those little suction bulbs. That, and time. And rest.
Thank you. Yes, we've been using a saline solution and it seems to help, but we think the suction bulb is irritating her tiny nasal passages. That's why we switched to an air-borne mist. Ultimately you're right, the cure is time and rest. Thank you for your comment.

Sometime in the night I also face the same problem with my little girls (she is 1.5 year old).
We use nasle drops in this case (prescribed by pediatrician).

Little people aren't so good about blowing their nose, so it get's all gunked up. The drops do help for sure!
Might seem counterproductive but maybe you could try using breastmilk? When my youngest was very little and she had a goopy eye. I put a little breastmilk in the corner and it cleared it up.
That's an interesting suggestion. I have heard that breastmilk has some amazing anti-septic properties. We tried that with one of my girls years ago when they had RSV, but it doesn't seem to work very well with the nose.
