From Loss to Lesson: How I Chose a Tablet Over a Laptop

in #dbuzz3 months ago

I've been wanting a new laptop for the past year since my old one stopped working, but my budget has been tight, and I couldn't afford the specs I wanted.

I even started saving money to buy a new laptop to replace the old one. However, things took a turn when I lost the money I’d been saving due to what I'd call greed. It all started when I received a message on Telegram, promising quick earnings, which led to an addiction I thought would guarantee me extra cash. Unfortunately, I ended up losing all the money to online gambling. I felt distressed after realizing I had fallen for a scam. Through this experience, I learned that gambling only leads to losses, as the urge to recover what you've lost keeps you trapped in a cycle, eventually draining everything. So, I decided to stop and uninstall Telegram, reminding myself that nothing good comes from gambling.

Instead, I refocused on my hobby, which helps me earn extra income in a positive way.

Now, back to the main point: I ended up buying a gadget, but not the laptop I initially wanted. I opted for a tablet instead. The reason behind this decision was to support my crochet hobby, allowing me to watch tutorials online, edit posters for my Facebook page, enjoy movies while crocheting, and stay updated on the Hive platform.

That’s the story of how I came to own my new gadget.
