About dCity
dCity is a mathematical and trading game based on non-fungible tokens available on Hive-Engine. Players build their own cities with tokens representing buildings, citizens, technologies, and earn income in the form of HIVE (based on ranking) and SIM token (based on city income). There are also cards that players can get only from playing the game like technologies, backgrounds and prevention cards.
Events removal
We made the decision to remove Events from the game. Our plan for the future involves bringing back utility for the other tokens, but instead of creating new NFTs, the process would be based on editing the citizens already present in the game, drawing from our previous experience with Experiments and Student debt.
Pandemy hit on Sick Citizens
During a pandemic crisis in the game, the 2000 oldest Sick Citizens will die. However, if a Vaccine card is activated in a city, there is a 50% chance of saving each citizen who would have otherwise died. In the first hit of the pandemic, 1408 out of the initial 2000 Sick Citizens died.
Student education cost update
Within the game, there are 62k Student debt cards, totaling a virtual debt of 7.44 million SIM tokens. Please note that recent changes to the mechanics of the game have resulted in students giving a negative tax refund due to existing debt. From now, the Student education cost is 120 SIM per card.

Excellent to see a new round of development getting started - I am still enjoying very much dCity and consider it a relatively safe way for people new to crypto to learn about trading and tradeoffs.

The decision to remove Events is a biggie, but I reckon focusing on experimenting with existing citizens could make for more in-depth gameplay. Might be time to stock up some Vaccine cards.
