dCrops Farming Simulation Game#dcrops #dcropscontest
Now that the second event from dCrops is underway (Christmas Event), it's safe to assume this will be a regular occurrence. First the Halloween Event and now Christmas + New Years event. Only @scriptkittie knows what's next so it's best to be prepared! That's why I'm creating this Event Strategy Guide! This Strategy Guide assumes you are already familiar with the game and know how to get started already. This guide is meant to help the hungry sharks looking for profits and ways to maximize exclusive rewards than role playing the farmer.
In these events you earn Candies to exchange for different prizes. There are a lot of ways to earn candy but the easiest way is to plant and harvest crops. Which is what we should be doing anyway. But unfortunately, trying to compete against the whales of the game using only planting and harvesting won't get you the bigger most exclusive prizes. They've got lots of seeds and lots of lands and stockpile their goods for just such occasions.
First and foremost, don't sell your crops! I mean, you will eventually of course, but if an event isn't live, hodl them!
So what should you do?
It's a viable option to hyper focus on profiting from events. Using means to maximize the ability to get the most exclusive prizes. Now @Scriptkittie over @dcrops has changed things to ensure the most people are able to get the good stuff by limiting how many exclusive items can be purchased per account... But that doesn't mean you still can't hyper focus on obtaining those things and selling them if you are more interested in profits than the other aspects of the "game".
It's important to note: using this strategy will not allow you to finish any quests.
When planting, you need land, it's best to focus on epic, and rare lands for now but if you can afford it, go for legendary lands because they have the most plots available to plant in. An epic land has 3 plots that can be planted in. A season lasts for 14 days.
Summer:
- Blueberries - 2 days
- Oregano - 1 day
- Basil - 2 days
Fall:
- Thyme - 1 day
- Sage - 2 days
Winter:
- Bell Pepper - 2 days
- Parsley - 1 day
- Cilantro - 2 days
Spring:
- Dill - 1 day
- Rosemary - 2 days
I would recommend buying out as many of these plants as possible. Now epic lands have 3 available plots to plant in, and rare lands have 2. As each plant blooms and comes to harvest, you can then plant again on the same plot. By doing this it's possible to harvest at least 1 crop every single day if you so choose to do. That's even without using speed grow boosters.
This allows you to plant a lot, without owning a lot of land. Again, every time you plant you gain candies, every time you harvest you gain candies and every time you sell your crops you'll gain candies too. Neither quality nor rarity plays a part in how many candies you get. Like I said, you won't be able to complete any quests most likely, unless you reroll them like crazy, so theoretically it's possible, but realistically it's not. What you do get however, it's a ton of quick candies. These crops are all relatively cheap because they're commons except for the blueberries and bell peppers.
Like I said, it's best to hold your crops when there's not a live event. Why? So you can bulk sell them when the event goes live. As you can see in the "How to get Candy Canes?" image, selling can be a huge candy grab. Up to 100% of share value. So if you save up, that's a big potential for candy.
Disclaimer:
This Strategy really only works assuming Kittie doesn't change the events too drastically. But seeing as how the poor guy is overworked as it is, that seems unlikely.

Scriptkitty sure is exhausted from pushing all this fantastic updates, But he still manages to give a listening ear to suggestions, that's what makes the game awesome.
Really cool strategy, getting seeds that take less than 3 days to mature so as to get more candies during events, nicely thought out😉 I'll consider this hopefully during VALENTINES event, hopefully there will be one😂🌹
We collect and send roses as gifts with note
be my valentine
🌹😂Happy New year Chocobo🎆
yeah that poor kitty lol. that would be pretty cool! I do remember him mentioning one for valentines day but that could have just been in my dreams lol
I didn't think of this strategy but it sure works!
You just need to choose what to sacrifice - completing the quest or getting more candies (which is only for a limited time).
Might try this strategy next time there's an event.
Let me know how it works out for you! I'm curious how many candies you'll get using this strategy based on your lands and amount of crops. :D
Sure! Let's see next event. Hopefully I'm prepared by then, having more seeds and lands.
