I'm putting together the video and audio software and equipment I need to make my music review series. Once I've got that, the project will be me (a cartoon ghost) reviewing bands and music projects I like from the Bed and Breakfast I'm haunting. The trick is a) affording the stuff when you're essentially just an attraction the owner uses to lure people to stay, and b) hiding it so she doesn't know I'm recording inside her house.
I've already got a half-decent mike, but I may see about getting that audio-technica and an amp so that I don't have to turn the gain way up on the mike with a windscreen on it. I got a naturally soft voice, and the mike sometimes has trouble picking it up. Also going to need some way to kill the echo my voice sometimes causes with audio equipment. Everything I say right now just sounds like I'm moaning it from a dang crypt!
The hard part's going to be the video software. My camera doesn't pick me up (ghosts don't normally show up on camera. It sucks being dead!), so I gotta find a way to map me onto the screen. I'm looking at some solutions, and I'll let you know what I settle on.
Watch this space for updates, and rock on.
