As I am up until 340 am driving on Lyft platform, I was thinking of the new Job economy and what's known as gig.
Do you have a desire to save $500 bucks or pay down a credit card. Or maybe do a side job to help in making your dream come true.
I wish I had done driving a lot earlier for the gig.
Baby steps. Don't think of all the things you need to pay. Think on a smaller scale. I think it's all about baby steps. It's not necessarily the excuse of how much you make. It's what you do and simplicity.
Think of it this way. If you can find a gig that does 300 to 500 bucks a week wouldn't that help. It doesn't have to be driving. Do something that you enjoy doing. That 300 to 500 a week is a stepping stone of extra income.
Say your overwhelmed by amount of debt and your not sleeping well worrying about it. If you have a 1k debt or 5k debt think about paying off one of the smallest debts and set a realistic goal for time. Some advisors say tackle high interest rates. Some truth to it but I would say consider your smallest debt. Reason being once you see a dent being made, reward yourself or take your family out to dinner as a reward. Or a round of golf. Say wow this isn't that bad and I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. You start feeling better on things with baby steps. So a monthly payment of let's say $100 bucks is gone. You roll that into next debt and let it work for you. 100 extra a month. Don't waste that extra 100 on dumb stuff.
Abl (always be learning)
Just a train of thought I was thinking as I was diving home.
