Wow I had no idea jerry banfield was that bad. He was one of the first people I saw talking up Steemit. He was also one of the main reasons I felt Steemit was a pyramid scam when I first got here. I’m glad I stuck it out and found people actually working hard to make great content on the site. Jerry tho, he just comes off as a con artist.
You see? THIS pisses me off. There are 10.000's of people who don't earn above 1 SBD per post. The promise Jerry makes "How to become successful on SteemIt" only serves his own pockets. As people are sending HIM money, to place a one time BID. You might get one post with little extra exposure, but that bid is gone forever, while you could have powered up instead and make a profit that sustains itself over time. Using a voting-bot is also affecting the reward pool since there is a fixed amount of Steem provided every day. The more 'rewards' that have to be paid, the lesser the smaller minnow will get. It's basically rewarding yourself with your own reward at a higher cost, and not just for you, but also for the entire community.
If you want mentorship, I highly suggest that you would scroll down a little bit more on my blog and check out the delegation project I am about to launch as soon as I have 500 SP. There is a link to a Discord channel from @promo-mentors who would love to teach you all about Steemit.
Hope this helps and sorry for ranting,
Ruben
And any time @jerrybanfield mentions another user to see if it is a fake bought account like @abrockman who just repost shit from other sites and buys votes and rep just like Jerry did when he began. Always look at people's wallets steemit block chain records all scammers pretty well
I didn't even get into his vote buying on that post. It was fucking insane. Who the fuck buys $1000 vote on a post? Can't even come up with his own name, but he can buy $1000 vote? Fucking mental.
I'm glad some of it was taken care of by flaggers. Not sure how many will flag now that he changed the name.
Ah well... its good that he did this, so people wake up.
This guy is all over the place , and as new people enter Steemit its easy to be taken advantage of , by the promise of "how to be successful" on Steemitthanks for this post @rubencress .
Yep, I'm glad we got picked up by @ocd first.
And of course there is you . lolThank the lucky stars and @saywha who put me on the right path . The people who I meet and the help I have received since then can never be repaid to them .
In my personal opinion, upvote bots should be banned as well as there should be something done against those that abuse from the reward pool. One thing that could be done, is a "ladder" of votes that would mean that the higher SP you have the lesser times you can vote daily. Steemit in the future has to be more balanced or new users after joining in won't want to stay because they won't be gaining too much steem because of the reward pool rape.
Hey Nina, thanks for tuning in. Steemit itself is already balanced and is working how it is supposed to work. However, ripping off new users should be prohibited, and takes the usage of the Steemit to a whole other level. Do keep in mind that the average ROI when you're investing in Steem Power contains about 4000 100% self-votes, no matter how much Steem Power you have bought or converted, it will be around 4000 votes. And you got it all right, ban those up-vote Bots. But we can't, we just should not use them or delegate SP to them.
This shit blows my mind. I'm fucking lucky I met @geekpowered @wilfredn and @erebus when I got on here. I am finding out all kinds of shit that I likely wouldn't have known if I'd gone the usual route. Nobody offered me any big upvotes or even little upvotes to vote for them. I thought we were supposed to just feel it out and go with our gut.
Thanks @rubencress and every other freedom fighter.
Edit - I just looked this fucker up and he makes $1500 a month on Patreon alone. WTF?
Thank you for collaborating with me to promote this post as explained at https://steemit.com/steemit/@jerrybanfield/10-ways-to-fund-a-steem-growth-project.
Holy fuck. Really?
Sad but true @profanereviews
That's pathetic, but obviously profitable.
You wanna buy my upvote?
I sure do. Is there a guide about people like him? I don't get how he got that popular. I was under the impression that he was this savior or something. Now I wonder about all the whales.
Everything is fucking corrupt now, but I guess it's no different than me using bid bots to try and get a buck a post.
I was joking about that buying a vote part buddy. It's better to invest directly in SP if you're planning to stay. I'm brand new to the platform as well, and I think I have had quite the different experience than you had. There is nothing wrong with buying a vote if you want to boost your posts or need the extra exposure. It's just basically a waste of money imo. Jerry is certainly not a savior, he is leeching from the legit 'whales' and makes it seems like he is working directly with them and did all of this together with them, while they work hard with either a dedicated team or by themselves.
I love cats, especially @grumpycat. I just happen to remove the entire rant/shitpost about Jerry, bought an up-vote from him to make him look like an even bigger fool than he already is.
