News and updates from Decentraland

We would like to share several quick updates with you this week. We’ve deployed a new version of the Marketplace, we’ve released a new version of the SDK, and we’re making some exciting progress with the UI and UX design of the Decentraland Client. Finally, we’d like to talk about some of the meetups that we’ve been able to join!

Updates in the Marketplace
Last week we released version 0.11.0 of the Marketplace. The most significant changes included in this release are improvements to the stability of the dApp and a new feature allowing you to clear your Activity History. We’ve also updated the Marketplace Atlas to display Estates as connected parcels, in a fashion similar to how Districts are displayed.

Decentraland Agora
We’ve recently launched the first version of Decentraland Agora, our decentralized voting platform that will first be put to use by the Community Districts in approving their proposed Startup Plans.

Visit agora.decentraland.org to view the open polls for each of the Districts, or read our full announcement for Agora here.

Updates in the SDK
The team has also released version 4.0.2 of the SDK, which fixes several issues that developers were facing related to object rotation and transparency. The team has also been making headway in the design of our default avatars and user profiles!

Currently, we’re focusing on improving the user experience of the CLI to make it as easy as possible for new developers to get started with the SDK. As part of this effort, we’ll soon be updating our sample scenes. Stay tuned! We’ll let you know as soon as our new sample scenes are released.

Finally, in case you missed our announcement last week, we’ve launched some new documentation. You can read the full announcement here, or jump right into the new docs. These docs are all open source and are hosted on GitHub, so don’t hesitate to open an issue or pull request if you have any suggestions or feedback.

Decentraland on the road
London Meetup
We had the pleasure of meeting members from the developer and crypto communities in London last Monday at a meetup hosted by Fabric Ventures.

We want to thank everyone who dropped by to learn more about the Decentraland Platform and SDK! London has a vibrant community of developers and innovators in blockchain tech, and we are excited to see what this community builds.

We’ll be joining the Crypto Collectible Club in Berlin
On Wednesday, July 11, our tech lead Esteban will be presenting the Decentraland SDK and demonstrating how it can be used to build interactive experiences at a Berlin meetup hosted by the Crypto Collectible Club.
There are still a few spots left, so don’t forget to RSVP!

If you aren’t in Belin, don’t worry. Esteban’s presentation will be streamed live. Keep an eye on our Twitter profile — we’ll be sharing a link by 5:30PM GMT+1 on Wednesday.
