For those of you who aren't in the know Decentraland is the latest and greatest cryptocurrency game run on the Ethereum blockchain. Taking after movies like Ready Player One, Decentraland allows players to buy land using a new cryptocurrency called Mana. Land can be used for anything from creating virtual theme parks, to selling virtual or real life goods to creating ingame games.
Unfortunately for non land owners, land in Decentraland has greatly increased in price selling for anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to over one hundred thousand dollars! So what is a time rich money poor person to do? Access the all new Decentraland builder, build a mock land parcel and then enter it into a competition to win free land and mana.
For those curious what one can do with the Decentraland builder here is a little piece of paradise I created using the builder and stock graphics that come with it. I wanted to create my ideal version of a tropical paradise bungalow. It's not much and I'm sure many other will create much better creations but I definitely had some fun playing around and would recommend everyone gives it a shot! Might as well get some MANA.
