DeepPoints – A community distribution system
Once again DeepOnion has continued to impress me with the developments that they create for the community that supports them.
Last week saw the introduction of the “DeepPoints” system to the forums, this gave out 25,000 Onions based on how much you contributed to the community, you could collect points by writing threads, commenting on others, receiving likes and getting followers as a few things to name.
The system can be seen to have been a great success, over 110 people received 100+ onions on the Sunday second airdrop. This quantity meant that if those people had not been able to participate in the Friday airdrop due to having too low a balance, they were now able to take part in not only the weekly DeepPoints Sunday airdrop, but also the main Friday one as well.
I myself received 590 Onions for my contributions to the forums, which in turn will increase my Friday airdrop by another 30+ onions each week. On top of this it has allowed me to give out more competitions as I have a larger balance to play with going forwards.
In terms of the maths for how much you will receive, you need to look at the total DeepPoints that were on the system that week, for example 10. And see how much of those 10 your DeepPoints represents, for example if you have 0.25 DeepPoints you would use the following calculations:
0.25/10 *25,000 = 625 Onions
If you received 0.05 DeepPoints it would be
0.05/10 *25,000 = 125 – this is still enough to get you into the weekly Airdrop.
Overall I was very impressed with the new system, and the tweaks made by Deeper and the Dev team this week will continue to improve the community.
Please continue to support and follow this awesome project:
