You have set up your wallet, came to the forum, written your introduction and you are ready to become part of DeepOnion community and its activities. But, what, where, how?
The reason why I have decided to write this article is because many people struggle with the amount of available data here and even though there are answers to every question, many seem to have difficulties finding it. Some of the members are even ashamed to ask for simple guides in order not to get mocked. Other ones have no such problem, but they tend to open threads everywhere and ask already answered questions. The main aim of this article is to give you a slight introduction to this particular forum, how it operates and where you can find what you are searching for. Also, I will give you some tiny tips that might help you and links that you should check.
WARNING: I want to give you tips. It is not my intention to give you basic guides or to make a tutorial about the forum using in general. I will try my best to elaborate as much as I can but forgive me if I don't mention something or if I left something out. Do your homework and research!

Basic forum setup and tips
When you set up your account, the forum looks like this. Now, let's elaborate that a bit:
Threads bar – Here you can find the most popular and currently active threads of the forum. They are very clear, so I think that you can cope with them.
Your stats – It is important for you to track your success and achievements on the forum. Based on this, you can have your member status updated. You can read more about rankings and trophies here: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/forum-ranks-tropies-explained.5062/.
Forum stats – Here you can find forum statistics like a number of threads opened in last 24 hours or similar.
Search area – This is where you find everything you need. Do NOT open another thread anywhere if you haven't searched in here first! Let's not pile up useless threads. Also, you have advanced search, where you can specify what you need:

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT, DEVELOPMENT NEWS AND INFO - Here you can find anything that needs to be read, meaning - here Devs and Mods share important news, updates and developments concerning the project. TIP - check it often;
DeepOnion Newbies - This one is important for everybody. Here you can find help of any kind - tutorials of any form and section Beginners & Help is most important for you now. The sticky ones in this section may be of great use to you, I will explain it later on.
DeepOnion in Media - Here you can find articles written by our members and DeepOnion related articles. If you write quality ones, you can get awarded for your contribution, but more on that later.
DeepOnion Distribution Center - You will love this one! Here are all the contests and giveaways being organized, meaning that you can get and $ONION or two if you participate. There is a generous bounty program too. If you make a quality tutorial, video, article or wallpaper, you can get paid in $ONIONs for it. First of all, you need to place your content in a correct section. Articles need to be posted in News Bank (Steemit or Medium backup are needed and if you are doing Non-English works, it needs to be posted in the local forum as well), tutorials in DeepOnion Tutorials or in DeepOnion Video Tutorials and videos in DeepOnion Videos.
