So I am so happy to find this post as before all I had found was how to do it via using complicated programming language - too scary for me!
I wonder if you delegate your SP to others, whether as new Steem is created and those with Steem Power are allocated their share (to mitigate the inflationary effect), this steem is given to the actual SP holder or the person delegated this. Does anyone know this?!

Is there a possibility this is a Phishing scam to enter your key into a site that can then log it and use it improperly? Can someone knowledgeable in the Steemit Community please advise asap? You get the pleasure of growing the network and helping out others. You can get your SP back at anytime. In fact new users are delegated some steem when they start as well.
I believe I could help with your question. Powering down your SP basically converts your SP it back to STEEM, but over 13 weeks. Once you have your STEEM, then you can sell it for bitcoin. The thing is, SP is a better long term investment, so keeping your funds mostly in SP will benefit you the most for the long term.
13 weeks? too long... Lol, so you're saying that it's better to stored/preserve our SP to make a long term investment? how about converting SP to USD... can i do that sir?

It means you're withdrawing steem from the steem power balance. As a new user powering down doesn't pay much steem at all and really is pointless, cheers!

For those with confusion on the formula, here's the deal:
(1000000/steem_per_mvests) x SP
where steem_per_mvests can be found here: https://steemd.com/ and SP is the # of Steem Power you want to delegate.
i.e. I want to delegate 50, steem_per_mvests is currently 483.211, so...
(1000000/483.211)x50
( 2069.489312)x50
103,474.465606 remembering it must go to 6 decimal places.
ALSO when copying the link the author provided, be sure to include the VESTS# in what you copy, or it won't work.

If you have enough over 30 Steem power you can share it to who ever you want. Having more SP means you have more voting weight.
I have made this a bit simpler: Simple SP Delegation UI. :)
The steemconnect automatically convert VESTS to SP.

Hi, you have only 6.6 SP (in other words you can't delegate SP that don't belong to you)

Hey sorry for your question not being answered , no new steem does not migrate to them. The only SP is the one you delegate to them.

Busy.org is the site (steemconnect.com) is a tool.
And the official site is steemit.com, not stemit.com Don't worry it is crediable.

If you are trying to delegate all your SP you won't be able to, for bandwidth purposes so do 5 less SP.
