I am amazed that anyone still uses that garbage and that this has taken so long.
This is great news for #Steemit and the #Steem Blockchain and once again cements the future of the #Steemit Platform.
In light of the recent Facebook Revelations, I am amazed that anyone is still using that garbage.
As Facebook shares takes another nose dive and are currently sat at $164.00, this should heed as a wake-up call to the rest of the garbage and overvalued Stock Market..!!

In one of your previous blogs you used the same term for the #fb and it became viral all over the steemit and look people are getting awareness and deleting this useless thing with the popularity of #steemit ;)

Thank You Stephen... recently deleted my Facebook account, which I rarely used.
HOWEVER, it is not that easy to figure out how to delete Facebook which didn't surprise me in the least.
After about 3 or 4 days I did figure out how to delete Facebook successfully !!
SideNote: It may be a Good Idea to delete as many posts, photographs from Your Facebook account BEFORE You delete Your FB account because if not, then FB will forever be able to sell & use Your posts, photographs, etc...

already had join twitter and the steemit because for me personally steemit has become a life changer.... it's made me use the media which really great informative and gives opportunities to earn to ... its also the medium to show talent in several feild here are no limitations and no any disadvantages ...

Facebooks unoriginal and stolen content is still 99% greater than steemits, I bet.
Its kinda funny, I listened to reddits advice years ago to:
delete facebook hit the gym lawyer upthe 3rd one I didn't have to do since I don't live in the U.S. but the other advice was great and ever since I deleted my facebook account I feel I have gotten a lot less brain waste filled in my head.
Its kinda ironic now that even reddit is falling through the facebook hole, even youtube is only getting worse and worse every day.
Glad to be part of a new and fresh movement that will take over the internet of things in the future! Long live steemit!
I haven't been using Facebook for quite some time now. I only use the messanger it has because all my friends use it. If not for messanger, I would've deleted facebook long ago!
I never did much on facebook because I just didn't see any reason that all that information be out there...family pictures and everyday activities, etc. Thanks for the update. Steemit moving right along.
Damn True!! I also said that, facebOok is nothing this is garbage, and who use this website, they are wasting our quality time, I also leave facebook after using steemit.
I am pretty much sure in coming days, and next years Facebook is dead everywhere and steemit will be on the high level, everywhere just this site is on the top of social medias.
facebook presents junk content. I do not even use 100% facebook like last year. I use facebook to send a message to my closest friend, I am also uncomfortable with mesangger application. Why a private thing even in content with advertising content, it is very annoying once I use facebook comfort.

Interesting article.
However, facebook currently offers the best ROI for paid marketing anywhere, especially for affiliate/online marketers.
For that reason alone it will have a place until something replaces the marketing reach available.
Younger generations don't really use it so they need to do something to attract new people or it will go pop BUT not for a long time in my opinion.
Personally I only use it for my fan pages which use paid adds.
Definitely delete facebook... an overhyped over valued, decentralized misinformation platform. Used and controlled for selfish interests... steemit is coming Mark

You are right man, i cant remember the last time i login to my favebook account.
To me facebook is wasye of time, except if you have products to promote with it.

I understand the fact that it does not add any monetary value to it users but it has made many to become sociable and promoted many works to a higher audience especially to people who can't go round the world and by this means some were invited and they are being paid. A few of my pals have ditched it, mainly due to privacy issues regarding 'related ads' on their feed about subjects they've been privately discussing on the chat. Concerning stuff I guess.
stemeet has brought us to share history, culture, tradition and the environment. steemit worldwide have been in the minds of us to share. We each have different friends and family to know and share different experiences. with different traditions. always see from eye to eye. About what we don't look for an opportunity. I am also grateful for what it has built in Steemit for all of us. The opportunity to share what we love and learn new things and find interesting people.

I stopped using facebook a long time back.. way before I heard of steemit. I had gotten weary of the precious time I was wasting over a piece of garbage that was only messing my head with people who had no direction in life sharing about the time when they wake up, when they are having lunch, where they spent their weekends. I feel I lost an enormous amount of investment being part of that whole crap which didn't at anyone time add value to my life. It'll be easy for me to delete my facebook account which am getting on with immediately. And I call on those that are finding it hard to delete their accounts to only reflect the time they have been on facebook and try to picture anyone moment when facebook added value to their lives... Damn right, it's not their. Steemit gives every second of your time a worthwhile experience. Earning for every activity on the platform.

By the way: According to Insider Monitor, no Facebook insider has bought a single Facebook share since August 2012.
Since then, it's been all insider selling.
I am still on fb since it makes money for me through book sales and affiliate links - and gets me clients for my coaching work - or at least it did until recently.
I just wrote a steemit post about the fallout I and others are having on fb since the beginning of 2018. Forget about the privacy issues - I am more concerned with traffic in my niches. This has been good for years. Now it has died.
I am about to write another steemit post about twitter and my tanking analytics on that platform as well. You might want to check yours - everyone I know of is losing audience big time on twitter too. I have friends on Instagram seeing the same thing.
I love steemit - but there are few people posting and even fewer interacting here. So I try to reach the millions on the other platforms. If those are shut down - how do we reach anyone?
I've probably gotten 15 people to try steemit in 8 months here and lots of posting about it. Two of those people remain. Several of the others hate me now for causing a big effort to poor results. The rest disappeared quietly.
My question is - why is all the social media closing down at the same time? If we cannot talk to each other - we can only see what is fed to us on the remaining open channels.
It's crazy how that's been going on so long and know one knew about it #fuckfacebook #shutdownfacebook
