It has been one month since Government of India has declared that Rupees 500 & 1000 will not be legal tenders. And have pushed for cashless electronic payments and also introduced Rupees 2000 & 500 new notes. But not enough to replace demonetized old currencies. People have to stand in long queue in banks and ATM's. Meanwhile electronics payments have been failing since hardware have not been installed for such huge traffic. Many people have been experiencing network failures.
Government & Reserve Bank India (India's central bank) have been assuring of enough cash availability well that is not reflecting on ground. There is good supply of Rupees 2000 bills but a severe dearth of Rupees 500 bills which is problematic as as there is also a dearth of lower denomination bills. Let's see how it goes in coming days......
Thanks for the good article
