So, the time has finaly come, for car owners to pay for not being allowed to use their own cars in big chunks of Copenhagen. - They don't have a choice naturally, that's how taxation works. You're forced to pay for stuff, you don't want.
And it's been a big topic lately. where loads and loads of car owners complain, saying that they wont adhere to the decision, and will drive through the zones anyway. - And of course, I enjoy civil disobedience. So I will cheer them on! (I neither own a car, or live close enough to Copenhagen, to be a part of it.)
The plan, is for it to start off the 18th of September, and there will be loads and loads of different events for the walking people to attend. - Whether they will only be there the first time, or every sunday, is not something I know. But from how municipals usually spend money here, the hundreds of thousands of dollars will probably only cover the expenses for the first day. (Another municipality, just sent 8 workers on a "study trip" to New Zealand, for the price of 60.000 US dollars.. - While Copenhagen spend 200.000, on a single park bench.)
There have been some controversy, over the last couple of years. Were it was first approved, then disapproved, approved again, and so forth. But with them finally "finding" the money. (Yup, that is actually what they use as newspeak. - They "found" the money.) It should be settled.
^ It may still be cancelled, if some of the opposing parties, get their way. But seeing as it's mostly socialist and communist parties, that have the power in the Copenhagen municipality these days. Then it's highly likely, that it will be in effect. - They do like their fearmongering for "global warming", so it's not really a surprise to me.
- This is how the danish working class is treated. Not only do they get punished for making money. With being called greedy, unsocial, and generally looked down upon, by the socialists. But now they're also going to get punished for driving to work. - And this is at the same time, as socialists complain about the low wages and lack of jobs. While some socialist parties, have started talks about raising taxes yet again. (It's funny how they miss the correlation.)
Anyway. This is yet another reason, why I'm glad about not paying taxes. Funding these things, would probably give me a mental breakdown. Since my latest post, was about begging in Denmark, and how it's illegal. While all the money go to wars, and stuff like this shit.
- So, don't visit Denmark. It's NOT the "paradise" mainstream media and politicians tell you it is. On the contrary. It's closing in faster and faster, to look more like Venezuela.
