Feeling a little more positive today. Isn't it strange how one nights sleep can make you feel quite different about life? Even when nothing has changed at all.
Today's observation comes by way of being aware of self doubt.
First of all, have a look at the image above.
Does it seem to be moving to you? Thats just your brain tricking you. It's not moving at all but you think it is. Today I had a real life example of how my brain can trick me into thinking the negative about something.
I had been in a brief email conversation with a company that specialise in SSL certificate installation. It is a service we are looking to offer too but couldn't understand how they could offer it so cheap.
My friend suggested that they weren't doing a complete job as installing an SSL is one thing, ensuring all links and redirects are working are another.
Even though I was sceptical (being negative) I did concede that this might be the case. Turns out my friend was right. Then he suggested I email them and check if they didn't fix any redirect problems themselves, then maybe they could refer clients to us for a fee.
I resisted at first (again being negative) saying that they hadn't responded to my email from two days ago so what was the point.
Turns out the chap did reply today. It might not be the referral idea that we wanted but the fact he responded in a really friendly way was against my preconcieved ideas.
So today's observation is try to be aware of what thoughts you are telling yourself.
They just might not be true
