Absolutely beautiful construction, reading through your post it is obvious that the whole complex was planned very well ahead and the features of the place where it is erected have been taken into consideration. I love the way that the window glasses are done from different type of glasses, that must be the most expensive part as the whole building almost made of glass, I love the idea that inside the idea of volcanoes and lava was reflected in the selection of concrete. That is the distinct feature of Iceland and for tourists is place that they never forget.
It is no wonder that Harpa architecture was selected for EUMiesAward.
They did plan it very well. Lots of land and ocean water they had to move to be able to build this actually. Only thing they couldn't plan was the crisis. But they even managed that part.
