Made this in a photo illustration class from a variety of images (my own) taken over several years. The fog and the snow was real, the bug was real, clouds, the temple was real, the moon was quasi real, but all added up it becomes a very surreal thing. I, for one, would welcome our gargantuan insect overlords and their massive, crushing mandibles, surely the long hours we'll spend in the mantid nurseries will be deeply rewarding.
Nice! I for one am glad that mantis do not get that big, but to each their own I guess.
I remember reading once that, due to earth being much smaller than the majority of observable rocky worlds (but still within the tolerance to retain atmosphere and within the goldilocks zone), that our low gravity has probably put humans in the 'large' category of alien fauna in the universe. At least we have that.
So maybe the aliens already visited us, and were swatted as mosquitoes.
