Today I decided to make some Melon ice cream and share it with you all. Originally, I made it for my kids, but let's be real, I looooove melon. You can guess who ate some first! Let's just say, I just had to taste test. I'd say it came out successful.

Now, I didn't measure anything out so really I'm just sharing the process and ingredients. My advice is just to add the smallest amount of each ingredient as possible. You can always add more, you can't unmix it, though. Keep that in mind and you'll be fine.

The first thing I did was split the melon in half, and scoop the seeds out into a plastic bag for disposal. My mom has saved the seeds in the past, to grow in her garden. So if you have a garden, try that out! Grow your own melons!

I just used half of a melon and cubed the other half for eating fresh. Nothing like fresh, sweetness. It was just ripe enough to melt in your mouth.

With the other half, I grabbed a huge spoon and scooped out all of its silky smooth guts, as you can see in the picture above.

I used a hand mixer for this process. After scooping all that melon meat, I took my hand blender and blended it up until it became a puree.

Next, I scooped in a little bit of sugar, non-measured, but if I'd say it was about 1/4 cup? Then added a splash of vanilla extract and poured in some heavy whipping cream. Then I blended it all together.

I continued to blend it until it looked like melted ice cream, pretty much. While doing this I also tasted it to make sure the flavor was just right. When the texture and flavor was to my liking, I poured it into a freezer safe container and let it process further in the freezer. This would make excellent popsicles, if you have molds to do so. Highly recommend it in popsicles form! Enjoy ✌😃✨
