Some years back, I was curious to get some hair on my jaw. I desperately wanted it because at the time, I thought and perceived that is the mark of manhood. My brothers, cousins and friends had moustaches and "side jars" as it was known then.
I looked at myself with disdain; I wondered what planet I had come from. I decided to take matters into my hand. I asked questions on how to quickly grow bears, just like you already know, I got all sorts of advice. I was skeptical at first about some of the ideas, especially the guy that told me to apply fowl dung mixed with methylated spirit (I wonder how he got this wicked combination) but being curious and determined to grow beard made me lose my reasoning.
After three weeks of applying my new found magic, nothing happened. I was angry, demoralized. Until my father saved my daying soul. After the advice He gave me that day, One thing that sticked was this "LET THE HAIRS BE! DON'T INTERRUPT THE PROCESS.
Everything in life goes through a proccess before becoming or coming out in form. From getting into a relationship, making babies, growing beards, being a master chef, having college degrees, being an outstanding writer and a bestseller, all these follow a process and the process it undergoes takes time. But one time I've come to realize is that no matter how long it takes, it will eventually happen.
Sometimes we feel the need to act, to quicken up times but unknowingly that input, that hasteness could interrupt a wonderful process that's almost at the level of delivery. Even though, we don't want to be perceived as lazy, dull, unserious, there are others ways to help a process instead of trying to fasten it.
Some things just don't need great speed; all that was needed for the snail to reach its destination was just TARGET, DETERMINATION, ZEAL, FOCUS, THEN CONSISTENCY. If these are applied in our day to day lives, it makes the process to a transition easy and worthwhile.
I love this quote by Warren buffet. He said, "No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant.
