With less hive that has a higher value you can do a lot of good. It's not the quantity that matters, but the value.
Many roads lead to Rome, maybe this is one of them.
I just want to encourage people to burn the post rewards, the rewards for staking still go into my wallet...
Of course it's good if many people have different opinions, which path is the right one will only become clear in the future.
It could be a road ... no denying that ... it may take the combination of more than one road.
Yet quantity matters, especially over the course of a year. Having ZERO means zero can be done, all across that time, and if the cycle holds as the main factor, that is a lot of opportunity missed from here to there to use Hive and promote adoption in addition to encouraging existing Hivers to stay the course -- or just alive.
At bottom, this is a question of the uses of abundance and the uses of manufactured scarcity, because Hive is, in fact, abundant. For price purposes this is not the best, but I return to Beethoven, whose intellectual consideration of value in light of art and nature was formative to me: it is better to have abundance than scarcity, because you can do more with it. It is easy today to put Hive and HBD in the hands of many and let them see how it all works, and on good days while believing better days are coming, letting them see the price moving up and down while they learn what is more important than that. It is easy today to purchase HSBI to bless people struggling to stay encouraged long enough to buy into the promise of crypto in general and Hive in particular. It is easy to send Hive to meet specific needs in the community, to the point of saving lives, literally, without checking in with governments and banks. That value exists right now, in Hive's abundance, and that abundance tends toward adoption, which is increasing in the world.
but what if we burn hive and get one over on those who bet on falling prices?
if the hive price increases as a result of burning, the selling pressure of the node operators would also decrease.
if the vicious circle can be broken by burning hive, this would be a positive signal to attract investors or bloggers again.
it is up to the hive community whether this is a flash in the pan or a wildfire...
I am not nor am ever interested "in getting one over" on anyone. As a motivation it is to me among the most dangerous. To imagine that people just doing what they are free to do to live their lives are people that we the smart and righteous ones need to get a lick back against is very popular. Yet in the long run, that motivation tends to destroy the communities that choose it. Historical examples abound of greater and mightier communities than Hive, turned into rubble behind that.
