In The Netherlands this one is on the Red List as "disappeared", but recently, a few have been seen and they seem to be procreating as well.

It can be so different from region to region. With us in Lower Franconia he was to be found quite often in the past year. I could also observe the form Argynnis paphia f. valesina in several areas.
Anyway, I wish you luck to find him this year.
