Bau einer Fußbank
Vielen Dank, dass Ihr mich hier so toll aufgenommen habt.
Anbei zeige ich Euch eine Bilderstrecke vom Bau einer Fußbank.
Wie bereits in meinem ersten Post beschrieben, macht es mir Spaß aus altem Holz etwas Altes zu bauen (hört sich komisch an...). In diesem Fall waren es zwei Fußbänke im Landhausstil. Die ältesten Fußbänke dieser Art sind bis zu 300 Jahre alt, wahrscheinlich gibt es sie aber wesentlich länger.
An sich kann man diese Bänke ohne Leim und Schrauben bauen. Sie werden gesteckt und mit Holznägeln stabilisiert. Ich habe dies auch schon gemacht, aber da diese Bänke in einem Badezimmer von Kindern genutzt werden sollen (am Waschbecken), habe ich sie geleimt und geschraubt - fühlt sich sicherer an ;)
Auf jeden Fall hat mir dieses Projekt richtig viel Freude gemacht, und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.
Übrigens, die Bretter stammen von ca. 60 Jahr alten Kartoffelkisten aus einem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb. Ich liebe es altem Holz, das keiner mehr haben will, neues Leben einzuhauchen.

Building a footstool

Attached I will show you a series of pictures of the construction of a footstool.
As already described in my first post, I enjoy building something old out of old wood (sounds strange...). In this case there were two country house style footstools. The oldest footstools of this type are up to 300 years old, but they have probably been around for much longer.
These benches can actually be built without glue or screws. They are inserted and stabilized with wooden nails. I've already done this, but since these benches are intended to be used in a bathroom by children (at the sink), I glued and screwed them - feels safer ;)
In any case, I really enjoyed this project and am very happy with the result.
By the way, the boards come from approximately 60-year-old potato crates from a farm. I love breathing new life into old wood that no one wants anymore.
