Porta Nigra.

in #deutschland7 years ago (edited)

Went to Germany’s oldest city which houses a 200 AD gate called Porta Nigra due to the way it was blackened during the Middle Ages.

Some wonderful history between these walls, originally built by the Romans as they made their city in Germany.

It’s unbelievable to think that this structure is well over 1800 years old and is still standing - it goes to show you the depth that Romans knew about building. Can you say quality?

I’ve attached some more pictures of the interior as you could climb all the way to the top. I hope you all enjoy.

These corridors really caught my eye. Simply breathtaking. Thanks for stopping by and seeing the gate of Porta Nigra!

I really love the shots, and I also love the fact you got the light balance perfectly.

the relics of a civilization that reminds the earth is old ..

Verdadera obra de arte arquitectónico, que quiso permanecer en el tiempo para dar testimonio del pasado.

Great article! I'm speechless with the majesty of Romans and what they have built!
