[Psalm 119:18-19]
I still remember helping one of my friend to look for his house key. We went to almost every places he had gone to for the pass few hours but we have yet to find his key. Then, we were remembered to pray, we prayed that God to help us in searching for the key. As we went to our car, we saw the keys were just above the car roof louver on the side of driver. We have even drove the cars for a few times, in and out of the car, yet we missed what was in plain sight. Amazingly, it was still there as well.
Sometimes, as we read the verses in bible, they just don't seem to make sense to us. In Luke 24, after Jesus resurrection, He appeared before his disciples to remind them about what he had told them before.
"Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures" (Luke 24:45). So everytime, when we are spending time to read the scriptures, we should pray that the Holy Spirit will open our eyes and minds, guiding us to the insight of understanding.
Today's Bible reading:
[2Timothy 3:14-17]
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to take time to seek you and listen to your guidance so that as we read the Bible, Your words, we may understand not with our own understanding but is what coming from you. In Jesus Christ name we pray, AMEN.
