Great accomplishment, but the people throwing on the rose-colored glasses for Vanilla D3 are out of their minds. The loot system was utterly broken, there was essentially NO way to progress without playing the Auction House. The gameplay in D3 has always been first-class, but for anyone to suggest that the core of the game (the loot) was even in the same universe as D2 is out of their minds. It's still not, but at least the game in it's current state plays like a fast-paced, reasonably fun arcade game with a lot of decent RPG elements. Vanilla D3 was a game with a decent surface but an utterly broken, nonsensical loot system.
