Running in F9 Park, My Memory of Pakistan (1)

I lived and worked in Ismalabad, Pakistan for about 4 years, from 2010 to 2013. Now and then I will recall my days there and my memory is always fresh, and the life I spent there really seems like yesterday. This morning I woke up missing Pakistan again, thinking of the first day I arrived there and my first visit to Fatima Jinnah Park, also known as F-9 Park and how I would run for about an hour in the park every day.

It was in April 2010, exactly 8 years ago. My car had just arrived, a 2007 Toyota. One Saturday morning I drove it exploring the city and came across F-9 Park, which sits in the entire F-9 city. I parked my car and had a walk inside it. It is a vast land, mostly covered by mere grass, with very few architectures or trees. Still it's very beautiful, against the background of the blue sky and the lush Margarlla Hills.

I was excited because I simply loved the place. It's a perfect place for leisure and for a walk, even a run. And that was to be the place I visited the most, taking a walk with friends or running. Later I found out a colleague was a running enthusiast and he would run in the park twice a day in the park, almost every day.

I can't believe it's 8 years and I still feel like I have just finished my morning running in the F-9 park and uploaded the pictures I have taken to my blog. I have a dream that I will go back to Islamabad and run an hour in F-9 Park and I wish my dream would come true one day.
