Intermittent fasting helped me to lose 178lbs in under 12 months and having regained 70 over the past few years, this post has encouraged me to resurrect the practice, although I will go for 14-18 hour fasts twice each week.
Good luck with this and with the gym, but maybe don't go for broke incase you break. Your fasting and regular movement will surely work without going too extreme (even if you are a full on person). I am also an "all or nothing" person, so I do understand and I have the scars
All that said... losing 178lbs in 12 months is quite an extraordinary feet. I don't think I actually weigh much more than that right now. In fact, I might actually be lighter. Not sure. I work in kilograms there days.
Thanks for your feedback. I did this exact regime for about two months last year and lost 5 or 6kg in that short period. I believe I will be able to do the same again. Today, as I write, is my first water fast. It ain't that much fun, but it is definitely do-able and I find 24 hour fasts no problem, generally. I find the hunger gets worse at night, but weirdly, the next day, despite not having eaten for 24 hours, I don't feel particularly hungry at all.
