It's on of those works I scribbled trying to insert somewhere in the head fiction world lore but no form seems to stick. I'll do other versions of the "fish the haunts the lake"

I'll put this piece under the unloved folder on my files.
Head Fiction
I'm making a collection of images while practices how to do digital art in the hopes that these will eventually strike an inspiration to create full blown story. I'm not expecting that I would actually do it but I know things become easier when there are already concepts made before as a foundation and my future self can just pick up where I left of.
My art drive tends to be volatile, some days I'm productive and some days I don't know how to use a drawing tool. Some of the remedies I've made for myself includes creating several layers of motivation that ties to other motivations so that whenever I do something, I also accomplish other things in one go. I don't know what I'm building but I'm just creating these characters on top of my digital practice for now.
Red Tales - a working title I may or may not commit to in the end, will be a story of Red Hood's encounters in her journey to slay the evil queen. There's no formal story drafted at the moment and the scribbles of images I share here may be used to fill in the characters for that universe.

Ahw geez… 🥸 I’m not sad.
Reminds me of an old friend. A fish named Dirt. Tough as nails… survived four deep oxygen/air dives. Once in a trashcan full of tissue. I rescued him four times. I think he appreciated it.
I played RATM songs on guitar (unplugged) for him.
The only thing tougher than him was him. So, Dirt ate himself to death and I’m still going to Cat Heaven regardless. 😐
Anyway, I started to make a “Dirt Perspective”-like Twitter account for giggles and mental art-retardedness. 🤷♂️ : ~~~ embed:1255273720136040449?s=46&t=YUEVkQkVdT4bbVM9JIla_w twitter metadata:ZGlydDAyMDMyMTMwfHxodHRwczovL3R3aXR0ZXIuY29tL2RpcnQwMjAzMjEzMC9zdGF0dXMvMTI1NTI3MzcyMDEzNjA0MDQ0OXw= ~~~
Now that you have this information, I hope you have a nice day.
Dirt looks lonely. I had a phase when I collected pictures of beta fish due to color variety for art reference, good times. Fish as pets are underrated, never bother to get one though, too many cats at home.
Must be a nice collection. They have a plethora of beautiful patterns.
Dirt probably was lonely. I tried to play bubble games with him. I used a plastic straw to make little soft surfaces bubbles and to interact with him.
Yeah, fish are great. They have subtle reactions/interactions.
By the way, yes, it does look like a ghostly fish. Those swirls on the side could also make it some type of nighttime-sky-fish. 🤷♂️✌️
Nightmare in the lake motif was what I was brainfarting for.
By the way, I dare you to make 99 more variations of those.
Yup cuz nightmare fish can come from anywhere. 😊
It gives me the impression of being a fish in a trance state, drugged or at least excited. It is the perception I have when looking at his eye. And it gives me the feeling that it is poisonous, very toxic.
Maybe when you finish it (because based on the name I understand that it is not finished), with the outline it will take on another personality.
In any case, it seems like a very curious piece of work, thank you.

I doubt I'll come back to this again unless I want to render another version of it but it's just an exercise to rid myself of an art block.
Well, this exercise is very interesting, it has all the appearance of a final work. I particularly like this style of painting, which seems to me to have a surreal or even psychedelic inclination.
I started following you, I am fascinated by these types of drawings❤️
