I worked at a space alien themed diner!

To keep going on the diner theme. Last blog I mentioned the song Dopefiends Diner by 2pac. Eminem worked at a diner when he saw news of 2pac being shot. This is a diner at the edge of a small town by the highway. Many women work there some single moms. It's good work if your in town then you don't have to drive anywhere.

I like that it is space alien themed. Many posters of alien themed movies, old ones. It's a 50's style diner. I worked as a cook there on mornings and also at evenings at different times. It had a good community vibe. I enjoyed working with the guy cooks and ladies there.

I was able to bring chilli back as a special item from time to time. I beat the other cooks with my chilli recipe! I needed it to not be too hot for the public pallete. I made it so it was not too hot in the mouth but burns as you swallow opening up the air passageways. That was the best part.

I worked there for 6 months and haven't worked there since. At the time we ran out of work and my small job at the diner payed the bills for awhile! I worked there full time! Made hand cut fries and hashbrowns in the morning. It was fun. I still go there for lunch just to visit.
